Linda Friedman has been in the travel industry for over 25 years; specializing in African Safaris, travel with children and group travel. Friedman founded Custom Safaris in 1995, focusing on experiential travel journeys that include unique adventures and authentic cultural immersion. Linda’s particular interest is the nomadic traditions of the Maasai. She has been recording oral histories of Maasai and Samburu elders for over fifteen years. Linda has been recognized by Condé Nast Traveler magazine as a ‘Top Travel Specialist for Safaris: East Africa’, since 2003. Custom Safaris has offices in Bethesda, Maryland and Kenya.
