For over twenty years Linda Friedman, Executive Director of Custom Safaris, has been
arranging safaris for travelers in search of magnificent wildlife, native culture and the
astonishing natural beauty that is unique to Africa.

Referred to fondly as “mama safari,” she travels frequently to Africa.   She has helped develop
projects in remote areas of Kenya. Her current focus is on the LifeStraw® Project and
construction of a school on the edge of the Oloololo Escarpment overlooking the magnificent
Masai Mara Game Reserve.

Condé Nast Traveler magazine has awarded Linda Friedman of Custom Safaris Top Travel
Specialist for East Africa 2003 ~ 2004 ~ 2005 ~ 2006 ~ 2007. Custom Safaris has offices in
Bethesda, Maryland and Nairobi, Kenya and has been featured on NBC Nightly News with
Brian Williams, and in Condé Nast Traveler, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal,
The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, and The Miami Herald.
